Breast Cancer Awareness month...
Is over until next year. We have been amazed at the response we have had, and are happy to say that many many women have the peace of mind or are now en route to treament they would not have had unless they came to see us this October. But please remember:
Breast cancer awareness is not just for October!
"The National Breast Cancer Foundation estimates that each year, over 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and over 40,000 die. One woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Approximately 1,700 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die each year."
If detected early, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer exceeds 96%. So if you haven't taken the opportunity to get yourself screened, then make an appointment with us, or bring it up at your next check-up.
